Michelle Beaudette-Grates is the owner and creator of Girlie Girl Salon. A graduate of Wayne State University with a BA in English and Spanish, she was inspired by the Fred Segal L.A. shopping and salon concept. She freelanced hair and makeup for ten years in L.A., Miami, and Detroit before opening Girlie Girl in 2005. She apprenticed to earn her cosmetology license and has since been certified in Lavish Lashes, Minx Brow Lamination, and the Beverly Hills Lash Lift.
